I wrote in my last blog about how this is a time of God flushing out things of the old season through our dreams in order for us to enter into the new season. However, that isn’t the only way God is flushing out the old. For some of us, God will use another avenue to transition us into the new season. This season it may be flushing dreams and in another season it may be done quite differently. Another way it can happen is by divine ordinal chaos.

What does divine ordinal chaos look like? Years ago, God gave me a vision of what it can look and feel like so I hope it can give you a clearer image of understanding. In part of the vision, things looked normal but then all of a sudden everything was shaking and being thrown around as a great whirlwind had come. I could barely hang on to the support post I was holding on to and I couldn’t see from all of the dust and debris. When the winds and chaos stopped and stillness came, I saw the dust lift from my eyes and I saw clearly again. What I saw was amazing! Everything had been placed into a new order. Everything looked new and there was no old debris. Rocks that were once lying on the ground were now part of a strong structure. Trees, bushes, and grass that were where I thought were normal had now been placed perfectly into rows and were trimmed and perfectly lush. What I had thought was the enemy causing confusion and chaos around me was instead God’s divine ordinal chaos, His divine perfection, shaking things up to put them into their proper alignment and place. It was time for a new season to begin.

Knowing the difference between the enemy’s (demonic) chaos and God’s (divine) restoration that may look like chaos to us, is important. If you don’t know how to know the difference, now is the time to ask Him and wait patiently for His answer. In the Old Testament of scripture, God uses whirlwinds many times to take away the old as well as speak His Word, but it didn’t always mean God’s wrath and anger. In the New Testament, the wording is changed from whirlwind to “storm”. How many of us feel like we are going through a series of short storms or even long storms in our lives today? Once again although we may feel it’s a struggle to hold on to our support post or we feel we have long suffered enough, remember the stillness still comes. When the winds and shakings cease, we are able to see clearly what was happening to align our lives in a much greater way. You know the old saying “If hindsight were foresight we’d all have 20/20 vision”? If we can know now what God may be doing to help us, we will be more willing and unafraid of when it comes and more excited about what we will see on the other side of it. Remember that sometimes the land where God is taking us to may need a little maintenance but it’s still worth it in the end.

Although these ways can happen as we transition toward any new season, the intensity will be greater during this time of the year. Why? We are coming up on the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah) at Sundown on September 6th, 2021. Now, I won’t go into the understanding of the Hebraic/Jewish calendar, but I will say that many of us can feel and see a great change over (transition) during this time even if we don’t understand it. It’s not just the fall football season coming to life that electrifies the spiritual and physical air. God is here and He is working things out for our good no matter how the storm looks or what season we are moving into. I love how the Message version of the Bible explains it:

Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
