Over many years of learning about dreams, I have gained an understanding of some of their misconceptions as well. One of those misconceptions is dream prophecy. Most of us have heard the term prophetic dreams and we may have an unclear understanding of what that really means. To be blunt, all dreams are prophetic in nature and not just a few that stand out to us.

How is this possible?

I have shared with you many times that God creates and sends to us the Original dream message of every dream. The dream message begins with God and will end with Him in its True dream interpretation.

Knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 1:20-21

Prophecy is God’s Word that we can receive by His revelation in many ways. Dreams are one kind of revelation. Prophecy is the Divine, spiritually inspired Word of God given to us. God is telling us what He is saying in His heart to us and others. In dreams, this could be to tell us what we should or shouldn’t do, where we are, where we should be going, or what to correct in order to receive a positive outcome (His hope & plans for us) in our future. So, if God is sending us His dream message directly, is He not telling us the future He has planned with His instructions so that we can reach and obtain it?

What about nightmares and soulish, crazy dreams? Surely those are not prophetic, right? Wrong. It depends on how you look at them. Once again, our Original dream message is from God Himself, but along the way, the enemy or our soul captures it and manipulates the message to say something else. This happens to cause fear in us to stop God’s will and/or to reveal that our heart is crying out for help which can delay God’s will being done in our lives. Once we learn how to take that manipulated dream message and convert it back into its Original message from God then we will have the Original, genuine prophetic Word from God once again that tells us what God says of our future and how to get there… Prophecy.

Dreams are also prophetic in that God uses them for us to prophesy to one another to build up, exhort, and comfort His Church. Here we move from prophecy where we receive the Word from God and then speaking it which is to prophesy. In every dream, God wants to prophesy, speak His Word, to us to build us up, exhort us and comfort us even if it means He disciplines us in them. (see Hebrews 12:5-11 ESV)

On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation.

1 Corinthians 14:3

This is a personal way God will prophetically speak to us but He will also use us to help others see what He is saying to them in their dreams by prophesying to them. He will use us as His ears, His eyes, and His mouth to share His Word, His message of Love to others through dream interpretation. We are simply telling them what God is saying which is prophesying God’s Word to them. How do we know the interpretation we receive or give is from God? By testing the spirit. (1 John 4:1) You should always pray over your dream just as much as you should pray over its interpretation. With any word given, we have a choice to receive it or not. Receive the Word of the Lord and you will have all you need.

Seek God’s Word more now than ever! Now is the time to Prophesy (speak) Your True Dream Messages (God’s Word) out loud with your own mouth! Speak its Original Truth so that it can be heard not just by your own heart, but also by others as witnesses! Don’t fall victim to the enemy’s plot to kill the Prophecy God has given you of your True wealth, your True purpose, and your True future! Stand Victorious and Declare with your mouth God’s plans for you, given to you in your dreams, and give them LIFE!

Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ ”

Ezekiel 37:4-6
